The University of Alberta School of Retailing is hosting its annual Retail Week between October 3 and October 7. The School is seeking retailers who are interested in meeting with enthusiastic students and participating in various networking activities. Retail Week is Western Canada’s largest student-focused retail recruiting event, and the talent available is exceptional — many previous graduates now work in some of the world’s top companies.

Retail Week includes various networking opportunities where companies may meet with students. This includes a large career fair on Wednesday, October 5, as well as smaller gatherings where retailers may meet with students. The School of Retailing even has its own group of consulting students who work on a variety of projects, ranging from retail strategy to overall neighbourhood/mall real estate strategy.

The School’s Bachelor of Commerce students are available for positions including consulting, management, analytics, internships, marketing, human resources, finance and more. Their education is world-class, and the School is recognized as a global leader. University of Alberta School of Retailing is at the forefront of retail trends, preparing Canada’s brightest retail industry-focused students for careers in the industry. Its innovative offices opened in November of 2014 at the university’s HUB Mall

Come to Edmonton in October to meet with students, check out what’s new at West Edmonton Mall and the new downtown Ice District, and meet with Retail Insider’s Craig Patterson, who will also be visiting Edmonton for that week. For more information on Retail Week and to get involved, email Emily Deveaux at: salsbury@ualberta.ca
