Now located in Toronto, Craig is a retail analyst and consultant at the Retail Council of Canada. He's also the Director of Applied Research at the University of Alberta School of Retailing in Edmonton. He has studied the Canadian retail landscape for the past 25 years and he holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws Degrees. He is also President & CEO of Vancouver-based Retail Insider Media Ltd.

The University of Alberta School of Retailing is hosting the Nominate Your Manager Award, in partnership with jobpostings.ca. Retail store staff may nominate their manager by writing a 500 word essay explaining why their manager is exceptional. The winning manager will win a trip for two to Mexico, and the winning store staff will receive a $500 prize. 

Store staff should submit their essay by September 15th to retail@ualberta.ca. Nominees should ideally be in Alberta so as to be able to attend the School of Retailing’s 23rd annual Henry Singer Awards on October 8th. 

The Nominate Your Manager Award is an effort to bring awareness to and show appreciation for retail management level positions, and is part of the School of Retailing’s Retail Week event which we discussed in a separate article yesterday.
