The popular Seattle-based retailer has revealed the first three of approximately 20 Canadian locations, competing with Saks Off 5th which is also in expansion mode.
It’s the first time Cadillac Fairview has donated long-term retail space to a charitable partner. It’s not just any retail space, however -- the new store is prominently positioned at the subway entrance to North America’s busiest shopping centre.
The 130,000 square foot store includes innovative new features unavailable in other Holt Renfrew locations. It replaces a nearby store that closed earlier this week.
The intersection has the second-highest pedestrian footfall of any in the city, as well as considerable motor vehicle and subway traffic -- all of which is anticipated to increase.
