Yesterday, Saks Fifth Avenue opened its second Canadian store at Toronto’s CF Sherway Gardens. We have provided photos from various sources in this article.

The impressive 143,194 square foot store spans three levels, featuring fashion and food. The store’s 5,500 square foot restaurant, Beaumont Kitchen by Oliver & Bonacini, opened last night. The store’s 18,500 square foot Saks Food Hall by Pusateri’s, however, delayed its opening until March 7, tentatively.

The store’s men’s department is located in the basement level beside the soon-to-open Pusateri’s, and features a central, circular footwear display like at Saks’ Toronto Queen Street/CF Toronto Eaton Centre store. The design is based on the prototype men’s footwear department at Saks’ Chicago Michigan Avenue unit, which recently saw renovations due to space consolidation.

We’ll be visiting Sherway’s Saks store next month when it’s completely finished, and we’ll also provide updates on the Queen Street Saks flagship when it is finished later this spring. Retail Insider is also moving its operations to Toronto in March, helping us gain further access into the Canadian retail industry.

Below are photos of the store, as well as brief descriptions of some departments.
